    Hi,

our users are getting the following error when they try to add or update a listing when they click on the submit button at the end of the form:

“Hey, i tried to set up my profile BUT when i want to submit my listing i receive an ERROR message saying: ERROR: You have entered an incorrect CAPTCHA value.”

    We are using ReCaptcha V3.

    Thank you,
    Tony

There is no real need to have recaptchas for logged in users, but make sure you are using the latest version of the reCaptcha plugin [userswp or GD].
If you are using both plugins, do NOT activate the recaptcha for the Add Listing page in both plugins, but only in one of them.

    Thanks

    Hi Guust,

I changed it to V2 Invisible and it seems to be working. I added the keys to GeoDirectory settings.

BUT…I can see in UsersWP > Extensions that the ReCaptcha plugin is active, but no idea how to get into those settings.

    Thank you,
    Tony

So should I only make the ReCatcha active for user registration and login and disable for add listing?

    Thank you,
    Tony

Hi Guust, I got it. Should I use ReCaptcha in the GeoDirectory settings or UsersWP? It seems usersWP has more options…

    Thank you,
    Tony

It doesn’t matter which one you use, but don’t use 2 recaptchas for the same situation/page.

    Thanks

Hi Guust, as I made the add listing pages available to non-registered users or users that are not logged in, I need to add the ReCaptcha back to the add GD listings, and the error is back. It’s only on the add place or add event pages, the login forms, registration forms and so on all seem ok.

I added a screenshot send by one of our new customers.

I turned the ReCaptcha off for now as people are adding listings.

    Thank you,
    Tony

I cannot replicate that. It works fine when I try.
I tried Firefox, IE and Chrome.

    Thanks

Ok, strange, as I had it last week as well and a few other customers that wanted to add or change a listing.

    I’ll check more tomorrow.

Thanks for your support today Guust.

Hi, it’s not solved. People are getting this message when trying to add a review:

ERROR: You have entered an incorrect CAPTCHA value. Click the BACK button in your browser and try again.

i think it’s better I go back to using ReCaptcha V2.

Changed to V2 Invisible – no more errors.
