Unable to install buddypress after GD plugins are installed. Get an error message like:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 89600 bytes) in /home/utsav/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/language.php on line 450

The server is telling you that you will need more memory, you can ask to your server admin to allocate more or upgrade to a more powerful server.

    Thanks

Both GeoDirectory and Buddypress require a certain amount of memory and if you server is not allocating enough memory to php, you can use one or the other, but not the 2 combined, what kind of server is that?

    Let us know,

    thx

We are talking about memory size allocated to PHP (RAM).

It’s a pretty common server configuration and Googling: WordPress Fatal error: Allowed memory size you wil find plenty of examples.

You can have that incresed via php.ini file, .htaccess file or even via wp-config.php file. It all depends if your server admin allows you to override the limit set by him.

    Thanks

Problem resolved by allocating more space to PHP. Thank you for your support.
