Remove the ShareThis widget

    Hi guys,
    I want to remove the ShareThis widget as we don’t wish to have it on our site but I cannot find it in the widgets or any settings. How does we remove this from the site completely.

    Hi Russell, currently you can remove it with css.

    The next version to be released later this week will make it easier to hide any gd element with a sinle line of code to be added to your theme.

    We’ll keep you posted.

    If anyone is looking for a way to remove the ShareThis widget manually prior to the next release I have commented out // ‘geodir_share_this_button’, // in line309 of geodirectory_hooks_actions.php

    HI again,

    GeoDirec tory was built so that anything can be hidden/moved around without touching code in plugin files.

    By doing that, with next update you will lose your changes and will have to re-apply them again.

    Vikas will provide you a function to do be added to your theme functions.php file to achieve the same thing.

    Great stuff, I must also add that the support on this forum is superb, well done and I am glad that after testing many other directory themes and plugins I have ended up here 🙂
