Renewals question

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    We are set up with several options for someone to sign up and one includes a free trial. Once their trial is over, how can we switch their existing place to a paid package so that the billing system auto bills them for renewals?

    Is this something the user can do within their account when logged in? And if so how do we set that up?
