Replacing search field with dropdown in "map navigation"

Hi,

Unfortunately I understand that due to speed etc. it isn’t possible to have all the different CPT categories shown in the main map at once.

However, in a search of a “user friendly” solution, I was wondering this:

Is it possible to replace the default search field in the “main navigation selection” (on the map) by a dropdown field where you can select the different CPT?

I attached an image hoping it will be more clear what I mean 🙂

I do realize there is a menu in the bottom but it is hardly visible and I think it would improve a lot if it could be possible to move it to the position of the search field
