    Hello,

I am a new user of GeoDirectory and I keep getting the REQUEST_DENIED error message when I add a new listing.

I chatted with Google to set up unlimited billing and the Google Maps API.

I am using WordPress version 5.2.2 maintenance release.

I am using Generate Press for the theme, and have these plugins installed:
    Akismet Anti-Spam
    Duplicate Page
    EWWW Image Optimizer
    GDPR Cookie Consent
    GeoDirectory
    MaxButtons
    Ninja Forms
    UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
    UsersWP
    Wordfence Security
    WordPress Starter
    WP Rocket
    Yoast SEO
    YouTube

Would you please help me get this working? Thank you.

Have you set an http referrer rule on your API key?
Please share the URL of the site in a private reply so we can check the console log for errors.

We are currently responding to a google maps api change where http referrer rules are preventing access to the geocoding API.
You can check if this is your issue also by removing the referrer rule to see if the error disappears. if so, add the rule back and let us know here, as we are working on a fix.

    Thank you, Alex.

I’m not super sophisticated with this; so I am not sure if the following are http referrer rules or not.

I did set up HTTP referrer for my Google API with these three listings. The domain where I am trying to use GeoDirectory is https://davetest.info/pregnancy.

    https://davetest.info/*
    *.davetest.info/*
    https://davetest.info/pregnant/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place

The site still doesn’t work and the Javascript console gives this message:

js?language=en&key=AIzaSyCMjlGiwFBh-0QKhMBAokWOuklvWrtqVys&libraries=places&ver=5.2.2:59 Geocoding Service: This API project is not authorized to use this API. For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

I don’t know what that means. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Did you already use our button to create your API key?

GD – Settings – General – Advanced – Generate API key

Try that if you haven’t already. If that doesn’t do it please share WP Admin in a private reply so we can check the settings.
