Reset password not sending email

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi there,

    Users have reported that the reset password emails are not being sent.

    I have checked and this is the case.

    Can some one please help us?

    Hi,

    I just tried to register on your website and right after to request a new password and I got emails for both actions. See image attached.

    Make sure they are not going into your spam folders.

    How weird. I’ve just tried it with a gmail email and it went to spam, as did the ones from last night, but hotmail hasn’t received any and i definitely have an account with that.

    Hi Paolo,

    Any ideas why the emails wouldn’t be going to hotmail? Customers are also having problems.

    It could be a SMTP problem. Only Hotmail could really answer this question.

    Hotmail has very strict filters. You could try to install a SMTP plugin and use hotmail SMTP

    SMTP Hotmail server: smtp.live.com

    SMTP Hotmail User: Your email address

    SMTP Hotmail Pass: Your password

    SMTP Hotmail Port: 587 or 25

    Use TLS or SSL
