I can’t give an estimate for that, it is in our task list but there are some other big tasks that have priority.

    Thanks,

    Hi Stiofan,
Mobile App is very important for most of the industry.
I am weighing to buy your plug in if all features are available via API so that I can create mobile app with same features.
If you don’t make it ready for mobile app , customer will look for elsewhere with other technology stack (like parse, firebase , react native , ionic , angular ) and will never come back once switch to there.
I am sticking with wordpress as I still like wordpress desktop features.

But , most consumer nowadays spend less time on desktop and more time on smart phone.
I suggest you should work on complete WP REST API for your plugin.
Even better if you can sell native iOS & Andorid App using this API.
Trust me , you will have more lot of sales.
I think this should be big task compare to other task .
Anyway , just my piece of advice.

    Rgds,

Hi Lwin Lwin Kyi, you are right on the market trends. It’s right from 2012.

But probably a more stable and full of features theme/plugin is better also for SEO and to be found online for little and middle companies. And then move to apps.
I helped to translate WPGD for this reason. It’s the best geodirectory theme/plugin on the market. Downloaded a lot. WPGD is better. Fullstop. (probably more theme will help for marketing reason).

On the other hand, an IOS (tablet/phone) and Android (tablet/phone) APP framework will be the killer feature for this type of software/theme.

I remember that i bought GeoTheme years ago for the APPs i could build with it. I found geotheme searching for that. And my apps (remaked from scratch) are now well established and postponed the passage to Geodirectory for the live site.

I’m waiting for the first app framework and actually doing some workaround (for example the theme is perfectly responsive) so if you create an appbrowser app that connect to site it’s quite similar to native app.

The real difference between site and app would be an offline mode. Like downloading contents on app… but for now there is not real difference also on possible interface.

    Hi gruppopegas,

There is a lot different between webview appbrowser app and native app created via WP REST API.
When you submit to App Store , Appl knows it , google knows it. And they don’t like it. And Adsense Ads(which will be displayed in webview appbrowser app like desktop) are not allow to use in mobile app. Must used mobile Admob.
The most important part , the user experience , it is really bad with webview appbrowser app because it is very slow when compare with native app that use WP REST API.

I have already tired both appbrowser app and native app.
You will never want to talk about appbrowser app after you tried it with native app with WP REST API.

The biggest problem is current API is not completed yet.

Sure Native is better of webview. But if your site is quick and mobile interface is well designed users aren’t aware of the difference.

You sre technician, the most of users not.

It’s true that experience is different.
But really i prefer that the site is stable to use it Without future problema respect a Buggy framework.

On a famous marketplace for 50 dollars there is a complete theme + apps (ios and android) that claim to have all he function of geodirectory.
It Is really the worst peace of software i ever See. Also the demo is buggy.

I hope that Geodirectory complete the Api to create the apps in this year. But as a said if i got a very stable base i’m sure the app isn’t our first problem.

    Thank you

    Hi gruppopegas,

    Are your from Geodirectory ?
Otherwise pls stay out of this thread as I am not agree on what you said :
    * You sre technician, the most of users not. and you want to let users suffer that you already knows it is slow in webview. This is not something to be proud to say it. you are insulting your users.

If you are not from Geodirectory , I do not need your reply here.
