Hi there.. My client wants to show the map on the homepage slider.

    I’m using Revolution Slider and put this shortcode in the html/text layer: [gd_listing_map width=1423 height=837 scrollwheel=false category=-1 marker_cluster=1 zoom=1]

I’m attaching a screenshot of the slide, and you can view it here: http://dev1.foundation96.com — Slide 6.

I tried on slide 4 to place a screenshot of the map, but it looks awful, so I was hoping that using shortcode, I would be able to put the actual map in the slide. But, as you can see that’s not working well either.

Have you run into this before?

To add a little more info.. After troubleshooting some more, it seems that the only setting that makes a difference is the zoom= setting…

    [gd_listing_map width=1483 height=837 scrollwheel=false marker_cluster=1 category=-1 zoom=3] <– zoom=3 gives a really messed up map (Little grid-like squares)

But if I change it to zoom=1, the grid-like squares go away and the map is one cohesive piece, but it is zoomed out too far.

    Any insight?

The GD Map is not just some static HTML, and this sounds like a question for Revolution Slider.
    Have you tried autozoom?
I’ll get the others to have a look at your question too, just in case.

    Thanks

This kind of widgets are not made to be embedded in a slider.

In any case it is rev slider creating the problem, so yes this is a question for rev slider authors, to see why their plugin is not rendering the map as it should.

    Thanks

Thanks so much… just thought I’d ask.
