    Hi Guys,

    We recently noticed an issue with schema that seems to be affecting the display of the schema in the search results. The review starts used to appear in goolge’s search results, now they do not, for any of the listings.

    See a listing page schema check;

    https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.photographer.org%2Fphotographers%2Fgeorgia%2Fbethlehem%2Fclare-brim-photography%2F

    Also, see a location page check;

    https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.photographer.org%2Fphotographers%2Fgeorgia%2F

    What’s going wrong here? Is there another way to use the contact options on a listing without the wpsidebar? it’s duplicative of the local business schema which includes the reviews. I don’t remember seeing it before. We use it as part of our stylesheet, but if there’s another way we can get rid of wpsidebar altogether. It looks to be from geodir.

    Thanks!
    Tom

    Hello,

    thanks for writing in and bringing this to our attention.

    It is not clear on your site what location page slug you are using. For the record, the links you reference are actually one link, to a CPT Listing (Category) + location page. The location page slug would be the base for a location page, which page is set in the GD permalinks. Do send over a location page URL, too, so we can check that.

    I would like to flag this for the developers to comment on the schema issue but I am unable to do so until you renew your membership.

    Hello,
    Sorry for the delay, our support membership has been renewed. Can you check this out for us? It was working before, so it may be our error, but I can’t discern. Thanks!

    Hello Tom,

    Do you have customization to display address(ex: Atlanta, Georgia) on listings?

    If so then wrap address with

    <span itemscope="" itemtype="https://schema.org/PostalAddress">

    For example it should look like:

    <span itemscope="" itemtype="https://schema.org/PostalAddress">
    	<span itemprop="streetAddress">1330 Sims Rd</span>
    	<span itemprop="addressLocality"><h3>Atlanta, <span itemprop="addressRegion">Georgia</span></h3></span>
    </span>

    If you not able to do that then provide admin & FTP credentials. I will check and update from my side.

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi guys, we checked this out and this isn’t something we’ve caused. For some reason, the wpgeo output is ‘WpSideBar’ as a schema type. Can you figure out why this is happening? This is breaking all the schema/reviews on the pages.

    Here’s an example: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.photographer.org%2Fphotographers%2Fgreater-than-gatsby-photography%2F

    Hello Tom,

    You have not answered question in my previous reply.

    Do you have customization to display address(ex: Atlanta, Georgia) on listings?

    On page is clearly shows the address is not wrap by tag with PostalAddress schema.

    Did you tried solution provided here:

    If this not fix issue the provide us temporary admin & FTP credentials in a private reply to check more.

    Best Regards,
    Kiran
