I am using a clean install of V2Beta. I have only 1 location, which is a large town that has multiple zip codes. The municipality is Middletown but I have directory listings in sections of the town called Port Monmouth and Leonardo. If I search with the terms “Middletown” or “Leonardo” nothing comes up even though there are listings in both. If I search “Port Monmouth” I see the results for all 3 listings. Given that Port Monmouth and Leonardo are actually in Middletown, it should show them as results. I have the radius set to 20 miles, (which is really overkill) and it still does not find it. However if I search by the Middletown zip code (07748), it does show my Port Monmouth (07758) and Leonardo (07737) results. How do I fix this so it can be searched by town name?

I just tried this again and no results. I don’t understand how this is possible. Screenshot attached.

    Hi Anna,

Ok, the results show up when I’m logged in but not logged out. Let me investigate this further and I’ll come back to you asap!

    Thanks!

To add listings outside the default location you will need the Location Manager, which will also enable “neighborhoods”. Unless a city is very isolated you will find it more convenient to be able to seamlessly add listings all around the area. Search without Location Manager will be restricted to the default location.

    Try it now

    search/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=+&snear=middletown&sgeo_lat=40.3968012&sgeo_lon=-74.09159820000002

I have adjusted the options at

GD – Settings – Search – Show advanced

I added the search text for new jerse
