    Hello,

We purchased the plugin today and have done the basic settings, but I am facing an issue: when I search by a postal (zip code) it returns all results from the category instead of only results having that particular postal code. Can you let me know why this is so?

For example, on this page https://www.autocarenetwork.co.uk/location if you select category to be “Hotels”, leave “keywords” as it is and insert “A3220”, why does it show all the three hotels in the search results instead of only “Doubletree Hotel Philadelphia” which falls in the “A3220” postal code. Please let me know.

I got this reply earlier from your support:

it returns listings in a radius of X miles starting from the center of the zip code, then it sort them by distance.

You can change the miles in General >> Search. If you reduce them to the size of the Zip Code area it will only return listings in that Zip code.

Whenever you’ll have more listings in each zip code, you won’t even notice this, because there will be several listings for each Zip code.

Please submit any future support question you may have in our support forum: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/.

A team of specialists will be more than happy to assist you.

Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

I did that and I checked by reducing the distance to as low as 1 square mile but it still does not work – it is showing all the hotels in the “Hotel” category. I have also used “United Kingdom” in the “Add location specific text to (Near) search for Google” but I just cannot fix it.

    Can you help me please?

    Thanks,

    Wasi

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I see what the issue was. Is it possible you don’t close this thread since we are still setting things up? Or do we need to post a new topic each time we need help?

    Many thanks

We prefer you post a new topic for a different issue, and use a relevant heading
That way the resolution of your issue may help others too.
    Thanks
