Hi. I would like as a search result of some postcode to see featured places first, but it brings random. If I do search by keyword, featured are first. Whats the difference? What can I do to bring in both cases featured first?

    here the search result:
    https://www.autocarenetwork.co.uk/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&sgd_placecategory%5B%5D=&s=+&snear=BN3+6AB&sgeo_lat=50.8362494&sgeo_lon=-0.17186830000002828

    Thanks

Have you added some code to return featured first if searched?
Because that is not default behavior normally.

Please post admin details in a private reply if we need to further investigate.

    Thanks

no I don’t think there is a special code, where I can look for search results? geodir_advance_search_filters.php may be ?

If you do a search by post code it will order by distance from that post code.

But I think it should be some hook to make it the way that I want no?

If you are searching by an exact location then its going to order by distance to that location, i’m not sure there is a better way to work it?

I see that it’s logical, but is there a way to make query work on both, closest but also first featured ones, its like query with AND, talking in sql ) ?

Its impossible to have both, if you did add it as a second sort option it would only change the order if two listings had the exact same distance. If you can find and example somewhere that does it better then we will take a look 🙂
