Search displays ALL listings when category selected

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    When I use the search tool and search for a Category, the results show almost everything in the directory.

    Here is an example…

    https://www.franklin-chamber.com/business-directory/

    Search for Restaurants. Now, click a sub-category, say, Barbeque. The results are all over the place. This is quite recent.

    I decided to double check the new site, under development (wanted to use V2, but that is another issue later). And noted the same problem…(and yes, this has the category search now…but, a general search brings up categories, and visitors will click them)…
