Search Function Query

    Hi
    I’m using this plugin, with the geo theme but I seem to be struggling with location setup/search.
    Example I have a place I want to add:

    My Restaurant
    31 Peter Street
    Soho
    London

    When I set this up and search for “burgers” near “London” the place is returned in the results. However if I search for “burgers” near “Soho” nothing is displayed.

    I need the search to look at the boroughs/areas. I’ve looked at Citys, Regions and Neighbourhoods but I must be doing something wrong?

    There is location limitations settings under “general – Search” called “Limit squared distance area to X miles (helps improve search speed)”. This might help you

    Hello, I think the reason you don’t see any results when searching for Soho is because Google will understand Soho in New York,and not in London, if you search for “Soho, London” or “Soho, UK” it will display your listing.

    Please post a link to your site and let us now if your site is world wide or just for UK or London.

    Hi Stiofan
    The site is intended for UK only.
    Indeed searching soho, uk works but I shouldn’t have to append the UK surely?

    If that’s the case then go to GD>General>search>Add location specific text to (Near) search for Google and enter: UK

    This will append UK without the user knowing so all results will be for the UK.
