Whenever I do a search near, one listing always shows first, even though it is not the closest to the entered location.

Anyone know why this might be happening?

I tried playing around with these options, no idea what they are meant to do – can someone please explain them???

These values made no difference to the results.

I changed the names of one of the listings and it made no difference to the sort order, it is not sorting alphabetically.

I have the same problem with the first post. Looks like a bug.

What is your default sorting filter?

Have you tried if the same behaviour is happening in our demo? If not, it’s a matter of settings.

Images are good to have an idea of what the problem could be, to really be able to assist you, a link should always be posted. (wp-admin credentials are a plus and sometimes really needed.)

    Thx

Thanks Paolo, I’ll provide a link when I upload the site to a public test server.

Where/how do I set a “default sorting filter”, I don’t believe I have done that, and would that affect the “Search Near” sort order?

I have double-checked this again on my site and the sorting by distance works fine, that is first listing has a minimum distance from the set position.

    Hi,

in GeoDirectory >> CPT settings >> Sorting Options.

In the demo we have 3 sorting options enabled for Attractions and none is “Default”.

That way the distance sorting (which is the built in option) remain the default, but user can sort by featured or reviews asc/desc.

    See iamge attached for settings.
