search places / radius

    Not sure I fully understand how places search works

    I have a dedicated IP address from my internet provider so a “near my location returns a city 700km from my place. Not a GD problem.

    But if I search for a city say New York- the places that will be returned are ONLY the places that have New York in the city field ? I have a number of places that are in New York but in the city field it says Manhattan and they are not returned with a New York search – is that correct? And the distance search inly works for “near me location” search – is that correct?

    If so, is there a way to include the places in Manhattan in the New York search results ?

    IN search is different than NEAR search, and GD does both. if you don’t click the autocompleter you will get NEAR results. To get all results in a radius do a NEAR search like “manahattan” without clicking on the autocomplete options.
