search text within reviews

    Hi, by default the search function doesn’t search the text inside reviews. Is there a way to turn this on?

    Also, if I do a search for “music classes” it doesn’t turn up results even though there is a listing that has both of those words in the text. Is that a bug?

    Hello,
    this is not doable even in a clean WordPress installation.

    I think it could be done with some code tweaking or, maybe, with some plugin.

    I tried using this plugin, but it didn’t work. Not with the Geodirectory search box anyway. It works with the regular WordPress search.

    Some custom code is needed, I’ll alert Stiofan, but I think this thread should be moved in the Jobs board.

    HI Nichole,
    Our search is a custom search form so there is no “easy” way to do it and this would definitely count as a customisation, would you like us to move this to the jobs board?

    Strange, this seems like something that should just be part of the plugin. When you do a search on Yelp it includes the reviews.

    Hi, I found a plugin that works for this: Relevanssi – http://www.relevanssi.com/

    However, when I do a search the locations don’t show up in the map, it’s broken: http://wheretobaby.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=music&snear=&sgd_placecategory%5B%5D=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=

    And when I look at a regular category page, the map isn’t showing anything: http://wheretobaby.com/places/shopping/

    Is there a setting causing these issues? Any thoughts on why this is happening?

    Relevanssi changes alot of standard WP queries, queries we also change, actually getting Relevanssi to work with GD would be almost impossible.
