select which categories should be displayed

I have the listimia category widget 2x active on the home page.
I want 6 categories in the first widget, but I want to choose them from the list with all categories.
In the second widget I also want to be able to choose which categories I want to show.
I think this can possibly be done through a multiple selector.
but I don’t know if this can be realized for me.

In summary:
I want to see a list of all categories in the widget and from that I want to be able to select which category of categories to display per widget

This widget i am using is the variant from listimia, They could not help me because its a copy drom the original widget.

Here you can see that categories are showed twice.
And the only Sort options you have is count and A-Z

Can you help me?

Hi Edwin de Leeuw,

Thanks for your post. That widget you’re using belongs to the theme and it would require customization to achieve what you needed there. Since your theme author couldn’t help, you’ll have you to use another workaround to achieve this. Could you share WP admin access to your Website in private reply so that I could check and see if there is another way to achieve what you needed there?

We have received several requests for the ability to choose specific categories for the GD Category element. I will make a note of your request and the developers will consider it for future versions.
