I am moving a site to a new installation. I have seen a few quirks I do not like (and V2 has too many changes)…

But, the major issue is I have switched the new site to Openstreetmaps, where the old site used Google Maps.

I can see maps on the front of the site after I import data. But, when I go to edit a listing it still wants to load Google Maps API (and thus I have broken mapping in the backend)…

How can I get the site to forget the old settings for Maps API and switch it to Openstreetmaps?

    Hi dnet-dev,

Thanks for your post. This could be caused by cache plugins. Try clearing them or deactivate non-gd plugins one by one and see if it fixes it.

Ok…I found the culprit. BUT, the worst part is, this has been on the old site and was working (BTW, just found it is broken on the old site too)

I have reached out to the author, as I tried to disable their Maps implementation, and it still interferes.

Just to make sure I work with both authors, is there a way to completely disable your Google Maps integration?

    Thank you

If you have GD installed and are using Google Maps you should not need a GMaps API key from another plugin, you should just enter the API key in GD and it will serve the key for other plugins too if they have implemented GMaps “the WP way”.

However, in the case of wanting to switch to OSM, I will flag your question for the developers as I think GD continues to use some free GMaps services.

Thanks for your patience while they prepare a response.
