I have two types of listing our site, videographers & Business

What I am trying to do and cannot find apart from [gd_dashboard title=”Business Dashboard”] is (this shows all directory’s)

Only members with Business directory can see and add to their relevant listing and be able to edit and not be able to see the Videographers.
    is there a GD_edit_listing?

AT present they both can add a listing in the other directory, I need to keep them separate and so they can only add in there directory and cannot see the other one. The videographers are qualified and have e member paid status, business members are free but have to pay for the listings.

    hope that makes sense, Thanks

    Hello,

you can certainly create an “Add Listing” page for each CPT, but GeoDirectory doesn’t have any functions to hide a page from another user.

You will probably need a membership plugin to do that. It depends on what precisely you need to do. If you can say more or have more questions about how to use GD please write back with more details.

The adding a new entry in either one or the other is not a problem.. I can bring up the different pages for that.

The issue is how can I get them to edit just their pages and not see an option to add pages on to the other directory, if I use “gd_dashboard” you can see all directory’s (in your site) and then add to the one which they are not allowed. I do not want them to have that access.

Is there a shortcode to just edit their one page?

    Scenario :
2 people one Qualified member (QM), the other a business Member (B)
    A) I want B to set ups his business page(s) in his business directory and only edit them with no access to add to the QM directory
    B) the QM to be able to set up one page only in his QM directory (preferably) and edit his page only, he can set up a business page if he wants as well

They are all allowed to see pages in the different directory’s. We are using the Restrict plugin

You can link directly to the add-listing page, but it sounds like you would need custom code to hide that link based on your conditions.

If you need more help with that I recommend you contact an expert here:

So not possible to do what we require?

If the Dashboard would take more shortcodes , so it only showed the directory in the dashboards you specified would be nice then that would solve it

It doesn’t sound related to GeoDirectory, and there aren’t any GeoDirectory features that operate that way. You will need some custom code or another plugin.

I disagree and think it is GD related as it is with that plug in I am trying to solve this issue

IS there no short code, link, tick box that allows them to edit their listing only , with no option (as the dashboard has) of presenting them with the other directors as well.
If I go to my listing is there anyway of adding an edit option on the list with the other options there?

    Found the answer.
In the Business (your directory) Listings TAB, I added the SHORTCODE Custom Field, then added this code “[gd_author_actions]”
This brings an addition tab on there listing to enable them to edit their entry.

The other option was to go into WooCommerce products and then in the access control below the main body of text, select the Access Control and select the tick boxes relevant that allows the memberships to allow purchase of that item.

I have noticed that when the business has a new entry it goes into pending, were as the Videographer option is posted straight away, why is that, is there an option somewhere (in this case it is useful)

Yes, GD Author Actions can also be added to the sidebar as a widget.

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/

There are 2 places to adjust listing status settings.

The first is in the General settings

GD – Settings – General – New listing default status

the second is the CPT settings

    Places – Settings – General

In both cases make sure to click “Show advanced” to see all the settings
