    Hi,
    I would like to have your support for the following doubts:

    1. Is there any provision to set drop down for region and city in geodirectory plug-in. My client would like to add a widget in the sidebar to list out region and city separately. And need to search based on city and region.
    2. Please let me know the template taken to list out search based on city and region. In the plug-in, both have same template. please go through the links:

    As per our design the region and city have different layout. Is there any provision to set separate template for city results and region search results? Please let me know the template we need to edit to set different layouts.
    3. We would like to add a description and image for each city and region. Is there any option to add image and description for city and region? If so how we can display it in front-end?

    Thanks for your reply. It is really helpful for me. I got a solution for third point. But I need some more clarification regarding point 1 and 2. Regarding the point 1, I need to configure it as widget. Are you sure we can set it as widgets using the plug-in suggested? On my research, I got another plug-in to set drop down for city and region.     Hi,

    regarding point 1 you can use the shortcode for the location switcher: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/location-manager-shortcodes/ Anything else would require creating a new widget and that would go beyond support.

    The advance search filter will allow you to add custom fields as advance search filters. In the near field it will alw you to add an autocompleter for country/region/city names.

    There are no tools to add region and city drop downs as advance search filters, that would require a customization too.

    Thanks for sharing the short code URL. I have tried the short code, it’s working. But search result URL shows slug name locations instead places. Is there any provision to add slug name places instead of location? Also please let me know your comments regarding point 3. That is, template we need to edit to set separate layouts for city and region. Thank you

    hi,

    no the location home page needs to be loaded in order to set the sessions.

    There is only one template for country, region or city and that is the location template page (geodir-location.php).
