    Hi there,

I’m looking to try out the new GD v2, so I have set up a copy of my client’s site in a subfolder. Unfortunately, right after upgrading to v2, and being prompted to update all my disabled GD extensions, I am receiving a message that says:

    “Download failed. Unauthorized”

Is there something that I’m missing here? I wouldn’t have thought that there would be any problem setting up a second instance of GD in a subfolder on my domain name – especially when it’s to try out this rather extensive, intensive upgrade. I *definitely* can’t be doing it on the live site! :O

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Nathan,

Thanks for your post. If you moved your site to a new domain you will simply have to deactivate and then reactivate the licenses to register them to the new domain.

    Hi Kor,

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, it’s not a new domain. It’s not even a subdomain, either – just a subfolder in the live site: https://cambridgeweightplan.com.au/test

The same applies because it is a different site URL.
Please try the method Kor suggests. If it doesn’t work we will be happy to take a look, just write back with your WP Admin credentials in a private reply.

    Hi,

if we are talking about /test/ this is the clone site, yes? New and sitting at a new URL.

So, go to the plugins page on that site and try deactivating and reactivating. Then refresh the page and try to update.

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for that – it’s worked! I think the problem is that I wasn’t refreshing the page before reactivating. 🙂

Now to try to get it looking right in v2! :O

    Kind regards,
    Nathan
