Greetings. I have several issues as stated below for my website http://acrossba.com :
1. On main page, categories aren’t being populated for some reason (noticed after removing directory as home page).
2. Listing map isn’t loading on listing pages. Nor is the pinpoint map.
3. Featured listings just tries to load, but don’t.The map issue was present before removing the directory as my sites home page, but the others happened after changing it, although they were working for awhile after, so there may be another issue.
I greatly appreaciate any help that you can provide. I’m sure I’ve done something (or multiple somethings 🙂 ) that have broken it, but don’t know what it was. Please let me know if you admin access. Thanks.
January 13, 2015 at 9:40 pm #27418Yes, can you post your admin details in a private message please.
I can also see that there appears to be some modification to your detail page.
You should temporarily undo any of your mods, maybe that solves the issue?January 13, 2015 at 9:42 pm #27419Can you check whether you have an icon set for every category?
That might be the problem.
This is a link to one of your icons:

It is not there.January 13, 2015 at 9:46 pm #27421This reply has been marked as private.January 13, 2015 at 10:35 pm #27429This is a problem with your Booster, I turned it off and it seems to have fixed everything.
I’ll alert Stiofan to have a look at this for you.January 14, 2015 at 12:53 am #27431I never installed booster, I don’t recall it.
January 14, 2015 at 12:54 am #27432I just checked it’s not working.
January 14, 2015 at 1:56 am #27439sorry I thought this was the thread I had opened, please disregard my replies.
January 15, 2015 at 8:32 pm #27636Any work yet on GD Booster. I’m hoping the issue can be corrected because it does significantly speed up my site.
On another note, whenever I go to listings, for example selecting my “auto” category, it is only showing one listing at a time. I know before it was showing 5 or maybe more. I’m sure there is a setting but I can’t find it. Could you direct me to where to change that so I can change it back to show at least 5 at a time.
I also seem to be having issues with geolocate when accessing from my phone, but I will do further testing on that and get back with you if I can’t figure it out.

I’ll give Stiofan a nudge.
January 16, 2015 at 1:20 am #27666Thanks Guust. And I will take a look at the link you provided to fix my amount of listings being displayed.

January 17, 2015 at 4:42 pm #27798Stiofan/Guust,
It seems to work again. I do still seem to have certain categories and subcategory issues regarding map markers. Sometimes the “Pinpoint” feature doesn’t work, or the map icon is missing when it does, and on some detailed listings the map doesn’t have a marker. I will need to do further testing to see if it’s specific listings or if it works sometimes and sometimes doesn’t regardless of the listing. On another note, I’ve had to disable “advanced search” because geolocation doesn’t seem to work correctly. When opening my directory from my phone on a Galaxy S4 with default browser, it rarely changes my location as I move to other parts of my city, even after refreshing. And since I’m removing geolocation, at least until the issue can be addressed, can you tell me how to remove the “Near” search function area? I actually didn’t like it with geolocation enabled
because the slider is to difficult to use on a phone. I would go from 1 mile to 30 even when trying to barely move the slider.Overall, I am pleased with geodirectory and the addons. Support has been great at working through my issues and after trying many, many other directory plugins, geodirectory is hands down the best by far.
January 17, 2015 at 5:01 pm #27801Thanks for your comments, if you can explain clearly the exact problems with examples of how to recreate then we can help with anything 🙂

January 19, 2015 at 4:53 pm #28024Regarding the geolocate, it simply rarely works on my phone. I am about to release the directory, and at this time I fill that it creates more issues than it solves. I do love the feature and believe it to be a vital function, but can’t risk dealing with issues with users when it isn’t working correctly. I
will try and do some further testing once I create a test site, then get
back with you on that.I also need to do more testing regarding the map pointers, as I haven’t
verified yet whether it is an issue with certain listings, or the errors
just periodically occur. Again, once I do more thorough testing, I will let
you know. Plan on testing more thoroughly today. The “Near” button I would like to have removed altogether,
regardless of geolocate working or not. The slider on the phone makes it
difficult to use, and I preferred the customize search option. Can you
explain how I may remove it?Again, you and your team have done an incredible job with geodirectory and
addons. I had purchased serveral and tried many other free versions, and
they just can’t compete. And support has been stellar so far with
geodirectory. If we can get these other issues worked out, it will be a superb product.–Leon
