Shortcode not working

    Hi, im not sure what i did wrong .. i jsut pressed a couple of buttons in http://prntscr.com/9blv6j
    then deleted all deactivated plugin (which are not being used.) .. suddenly the shortcodes stopped working

    Looks like shortcode doesnt work in widgets boxes only. i was able to get it working again when i added — add_filter(‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’); in my functions.php

    but i think i did something wrong, because earlier it wasnt like that

    Hi,

    that is normal, shortcodes work in text widgets only if you add that snippet to functions.php of your theme. Otherwise they only work in pages and posts content. Probably you had a plugin or theme that was adding that by default?

    I thought it will work by default.. Probably yes and i accidentally removed it.Thanks for the info 🙂
