    Hi,

We’ll renew our subscription soon, but meanwhile I wanted to write this question.

    We have this shortcode:

    [gd_listings country=”united-states” region=”new-york” post_type=”gd_restaurant” sort_by=”random” title_tag=”h3″ layout=”3″ post_limit=”3″ with_pics_only=”1″ hide_if_empty=”1″ view_all_link=”1″ category=”0″ bottom_pagination=”1″ add_location_filter=1]

The shortcode show USA / NY region listings.

But the View All Button goes to ALL listings. We want it to go to NY only.

    What are we doing wrong?

The View All link follows the location of the page if set by GD, and depending on the settings at GD > Settings > Locations > Show Advanced.

So if that shortcode is not on a GD location or archive page for the NY region, the View All link cannot go to all restaurants in NY.

    Thanks

Aaah, thanks, we were using it in home.

Other home shortcodes showing certain categories work fine, the View All goes to the category page.

But not in the case of Locations.

Should we have to add Locations as Categories then, to be able to have a coherent View All button?

    Thanks,

That is up to you, but I guess that will end up being very confusing for your visitors.

So does it means we cannot show on home several shortcodes related to locations, and have, at the same time, a View All button on each row, that brings people to the proper location?

    Thanks,

What you can do is add shortcodes like

    [gd_listings country="united-states" post_type="gd_restaurant" view_all_link="0"]

and then add a manual “View All” link to the correct page.
