This has been correct for some time since changing from GT to GD ages ago with an old site, but today I noticed that the sidebar on the Home Page is not alongside the main content but after it, still on the RHS. It’s the same on other pages too.

I have looked in GD Design and page width settings are as they have always been. I can’t see what’s causing this or how to correct it. I haven’t changed anything and think it was still ok after the last update as I usually check to see it looks alright.

I’m using GD V1 and the directory starter theme. All plugins are up to date.

    Thanks,
    Sue

    Hi Sue,

Thanks for your post. Could you share your Website URL here in question so that I could check on it?

    Thanks!

Thanks – I still can’t sort it! No idea what caused it either.

Did you maybe update the theme to V2?
If so you will need to roll that back to V1. You can get the V1 themes in our shop here on the site (free).

I’ve just checked the WP-admin and it looks like I have updated the theme to V2 not realising it’s only for GD V2 not V1. I have the directory starter theme with the child activated. There is a warning there saying it’s for GD V2. I didn’t know that. I assume if I remove that and install the V1 theme (which I hope I can redownload) it will be ok again. 🤞
    Thanks,
    Sue

Yes, will do. Thanks very much.

(I thought at first you were talking about the plugin not the theme, then realised. I was making sure I didn’t upgrade GD to V2. Was there a notice about not upgrading the theme without GD V2? I didn’t see one at the time. The warning I mentioned at the top of the page I only saw after the update.)

    Thanks all is ok now.

You will see from my attached screenshot of the update notice after I reverted back to theme V1 that there is no way you can know it’s only for GD V2 from this update screen. The warning only appears after you’ve updated. I thought it was just a normal update and like to keep things up to date!
