Sign up and form on one page?

    Hello;

    Is it possible to have the “signup now” and the gd place form on the same page?

    People are filling out their name and email address and expecting that’s all they need to do

    Hi there,

    It’s not possible to achieve what you needed there, unfortunately. The GD add listing form can only be opened when you’re logged in.

    hmmm, what about taking the login box away and having just the signup box?

    I could then alter the language file to make that button say continue.

    Could you possibly tell us what are you trying to achieve there? Are you trying force your users to submit a listing after logging in?

    That’s correct. We use GD as a member signup + directory listing.

    With the 2 steps creating an account + filling out the form, people are only doing the first thinking they have joined

    Hi,

    I’m sorry but there there is no way to do that out of the box.

    In the registration page you should add info about the process, in case it is not clear to your users.

    You can simple add text to the gd-login page and it will show above the login/register boxes.

    What about removing the login box? So only the register box is shown?

    In the directory listings, there’s still a login widget in the right bar.

    The way we have it setup, no-one would go to the directory form to login.

    Things like the add listing page etc will redirect to the login/ register page if viewed when logged out, then they would be stuck with no way to login.

    Are you able to give me the URL that’s used on My Listings > Places (on the right under my dashboard) it takes me to <wordpress-url>/author/<login-name>/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place
