Hi, i am testing V2 and i only want to show the placeholder test in the search shortcode/widget. However, i noticed that another clickable thing is displayed over the search field. see here: https://screencast.com/t/Dnhw12gAv
what is it? I dont see the benefit. How can i remove it?

I cannot see the image you shared. I am guessing it is the search autocomplete?

If so you can disable it

GD, Settings, Advanced Search, Enable search autocompleter? (Uncheck to disable)

If that’s not it try attaching a static screenshot so we can see what you are talking about.
