When was the latest update for geo directory… I think it was in last week?
My site is also giving 500 error… I can only think it is related to the latest geo directory update… as that is all I can remember updating. Getting 500 error. I want to try and remember date for backup?
I cant give dashboard details as I cant get into dashboard at present.
Was there bug reports after last update of geo directory core?

no there were not. 500 is a server error. Please ask to your hosting provider if they see the cause of the error in the error log and report it here.

If the problem is caused by GeoDirectory, we’ll need FTP to fix it. We can’t do it via dashboard.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Hello,

If restoring from a backup is how you want to go, then let us know how it goes.

If you would like us to take a look at the site please provide WP Admin and FTP access.

It looks like you are using V1 of the Events add-on with V2 of GeoDirectory.

Make sure that is not the case.

    Thanks

    Hello Paolo and Alex,
    Thanks for the responses.
Its not that I specifically want to restore from backup. I am just wanting it fixed.
I will try backup. Then I will reset permalinks.
I never got answered re when last update was run by Geodirectory?
(I am thinking that maybe from what Paolo said: maybe the update last week was for geo directory v2? Which maybe I updated without fully realising, as usually a whole list of the add ons need updating, but I seem to recall just one plugin on Geo needing updating…maybe it was an update to V2?)

I just looked at “account”/ downloads and licence keys to see about versions (in geo directory). I see I have some in there on v1 and some add on v2.
How do I know what versions I am using? Because they don’t all say v2 when I go into details on the dashboard plugins screen.
And are the add ons that are in the accounts area that are still v1 compatible with geocore v2?
I am happy to supply the dashboard details, but FTP I know nothing about.

No, you will have to manually upgrade to V2, it is not an automatic thing at this time.

Hi Alex, then i think what must have happened. When you look at the details of an upgrade… on the geo directory screen, it says “try me”…. I must have clicked on that thinking I was “installing ” an upgrade… that is probably what happened.

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks for your reply. Could you provide your WP admin access here in private reply so that we could check your GD setup?

    Thanks!
