    The error logs show this:

    20150610T111616: theoldtrapper.ca/index.php
PHP Warning: session_start(): open(/home/users/web/b2592/nf.findgl/public_html/cgi-bin/tmp/sess_a7a79759f774199178bb57d0d22a6ab4, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in /hermes/bosnaweb08a/b2592/nf.findgl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory.php on line 27
PHP Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie – headers already sent by (output started at /hermes/bosnaweb08a/b2592/nf.findgl/public_html/wp-config.php:2) in /hermes/bosnaweb08a/b2592/nf.findgl/public_html/wp-co

The site has the latest version of the core plugin and all addons.

The site worked perfectly on a local computer an at another hosting company so it can’t be a plugin incompatibility.

When migrating from localhost you forgot to change all the occurrences with 127.0.0.1 . you’ll find that by looking in your phpmyadmin searching for http://127.0.0.1

could also be the sessions folder not writable. Ask to server support to make it writable.

    Thanks

I have made sure to change all occurrences of “http://127.0.0.1” and the database now has the correct siteurl and home url (http://theoldtrapper.ca) but the problem remains and the error in the log is the same.

You had something weird on the wp-config.php
I tried to clean it up and now the errors are gone, however there is some internal server error, due to some plugin. I have reset your plugins so you can login in the backend and try to update all the plugins (and activate them onebyone) and see what’s causing the error.

It could also be due to a wrong configuration/permission in your .htaccess

I deleted the site and did a fresh install of WordPress and even that doesn’t load. I’ll go back to the hosting support for this.
