Sitemap include/exclude

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    These categories appear in the Yoast SEO sitemap.

    http://www.example.com/gd_location_country-sitemap.xml
    http://www.example.com/gd_location_country_region-sitemap.xml
    http://www.example.com/gd_location_full-sitemap.xml
    http://www.example.com/gd_placecategory_location_country-sitemap.xml
    http://www.example.com/gd_placecategory_location_country_region-sitemap.xml
    http://www.example.com/gd_placecategory_location_full-sitemap.xml

    They are not GD cetegories nor appear in the Yoast options. How are they normally removed from the sitemap?

    Those are Custom Post Type and Location sitemaps. You will have to check the Yoast settings to see your options from removing them from the sitemap.

    Hello Bozzy,

    – To exclude Locations sitemaps like gd_location_XXXXX-sitemap.xml, from Admin > GeoDirectory > Multilocations > Yoast SEO XML Sitemaps Settings > Tick “Exclude location pages in xml sitemap”
    – To exclude Category + Locations sitemaps like gd_placecategory_location_XXXXX-sitemap.xml, from Admin > GeoDirectory > Multilocations > Yoast SEO XML Sitemaps Settings > Tick “Exclude categories location pages in xml sitemap”

    After applying abouve just save.

    Thanks Kiran, found those and that worked.

    Is there an obvious reason why the country region sitemap would list only 1 region but repeat it 100 times and the full location would only list 1 city and repeat that 100 times?

    There will be a link for each tag/category/city/region combination.

    There’s just the same one repeated xx times rather than them all being different.

    I looked and seems something conflicts there.
    Please provide us FTP credentials so we can do some debugging to find what conflicts there?

    I have applied patch of CPT + LOCATION urls and now sitemap urls works fine.
