    Hi.

Before installing this geodirectory plugin, i had installed the another directory theme.
I´ve added all the locations and categories ( taxonomies).
I´ve uninstalled the theme when installed geodirectory.

The question is that i think that those categories and locations are still somewhere, because, when i now add a new category ( with the same name), in the url, it add a “-1”.

    For example:

    http://www.bizmadeira.com/diretorio/item/turismo-1/agencias-de-viagens-1/

Also, the same happens with the locations

How can we fix this? Delete the previous taxonomies, maybe?

    Thanks

You could try deleting them, both the old and new ones, and then recreate. That usually works for categories at least. If it does not work you will have to change it in the database.

Usually you can access with phpMyAdmin through your hosting control panel.
For example if you have “slug-1”, you first need to find “slug” and then replace that with “slug-2” for example. Then find “slug-1” and replace with “slug”.

But this might be a better solution for you: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search-and-replace/
