Hello, this is a general enquiry.

Our client is reporting that the website is very slow to respond at different times throughout the day at his office. No-one else seems to be having the same problem and he only has this problem with this site. Has this been a problem that you have come across previously with GD?

    The website is http://www.visitcrieff.scot

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi Kim,

I would ask them to check via a 3rd party to make sure its not a local network issue, i woudl try from the EU server https://tools.pingdom.com/

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

We have done this on many occasions. Results are mixed. We have tried a few of the more popular Cache plugins but most of them clashed with GD and we had to remove them. Sadly because they definitely made the site faster. Do you know of a cache plugin that is compatible with GD and works?

    Many thanks
    Kim

    Hi Kim,

Do you have a way to monitor the server performance?
If you are on shared hosting it might even be that another popular site on the server is hogging resources sometimes.

The only caching we support is either GD Booster or WP Super Cache + Autoptimize.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
