Slow Submissions

I noticed when publishing a new listing it takes a significantly long time to publish. I’ve also noticed that if I’m editing/updating a lot of listings they start to hang up which makes me think that the site will bog down significantly when I officially launch it if more than one person is adding a listing/using the site.

When I was updating a lot of listings I started doing it from the WP side/admin/backend and it was significantly faster. What does that mean?

I also noticed on the payment page (after the submission/preview page) it takes a while to process.

Today I sent someone a message through their contact form on their details page. This submission took a while too. That’s what prompted me to come here and share all this.

Right now I’m on a VPS with Jaguar PC. Will I notice significant improvements with publishing time and form submission time on a dedicated server? Please share what you know about the kind of improvements I may benefit from on a dedicated server. If I go to one it’s going to be a lot of work figuring out which one and how to do it. And I suppose it’s going to be significantly more expensive. Also, is there any chance GD will get faster eventually with future updates?
