    Hi

I am not sure if this can be fixed. When using the social importer, if there is any link on the text the importer will import the link but you can not click on it whereas on facebook the link is clicklable.

can anything be done about it???

    Regards

    Hi

The importer does not respect the paragraphs When imnporting the text (long description field) .

    So a text like this:

GeoDirectory doesn’t endorse any of the developers present in our forums. However we can guarantee that they are all Premium Members just like you.

Please ask for references before hiring anyone and use common sense.

    Will be imported as:

GeoDirectory doesn’t endorse any of the developers present in our forums. However we can guarantee that they are all Premium Members just like you. Please ask for references before hiring anyone and use common sense.

And if the text is too long the imported text is quite messy.

Would it be possible to do something about it?

    Regards

    Hi,

I’ve merged the 3 topics because they are all about a very similar issue.

Do you have a FB page example with all this to use for testing?

    Let us know,

    thx

    Hi

    Two quick examples:

1- This one for the formatting and the links not being clickable:

    https://www.facebook.com/events/1535958973314172/

2-And this one for the email not being imported and the formatting:

    https://www.facebook.com/Indaba.Yoga

    Hope it helps.

    Regards

    Hi,

I think u got them the other way around (or maybe not) but the first link did not return any email address the second one (https://www.facebook.com/Indaba.Yoga) returned a press_contact which i have now setup to add as an email.

The line breaks were not being respected in the visual editor only but i have also fixed this.

The links is not possible, FB api strips them so the links are never given to us to use.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Facebook does not give out the email addresses, only one of your demo links above work as it has a press contact email which is used.

Ok, there is nothing we can do if facebook does not give the email addresses…

    Thanks again
