    A couple days ago, I suddenly had social media icons on the left side of my website. (See the photo)

    How do I get rid of them?

    Absolutely no idea, nobody without access to your site would have been able to put that there.
    I cannot even figure out where it is added without FTP, and it is not part of the GD plugin or theme.

    The script is only added to the homepage, we tested by just swapping the homepage, and it still gets added.
    Can you try swapping your theme temporarily, to see if that makes it disappear?
    Or check with GoDaddy and ask them what is adding that script to the homepage of your site?

    Go-Daddy replaced my homepage with simple text. The icons disappeared. When then put back the GD Homepage, they reappeared.
