    Hi,

I use Social Pilot to share and schedule posts from my listing pages to both my Facebook Page and Twitter Feed. This pulls in the heading, description, link and image from my listing page to Facebook and Twitter. Just recently the image has stopped appearing on both Facebook and Twitter (Image 1).

I know it’s not Social Pilot because it works fine on other websites (Image 2), it just doesn’t on mine.

Also I’m having problems with the share icons on my pages. When I share a page to Facebook none of the information transfers across apart from the page heading (Image 3). When I share to Twitter the description copies across but not the image (Image 4)

This (and other issues) started after updating to 1.6.24.

    My website is https://alitlebitabout.co.uk

Your help will be much appreciated.

    All the best.

    Mark

    Hello!

We don’t support third party plugins. There is a social share function included with GD Membership and we haven’t had any recent reports about issues with it.

If you are having an issue with the built in social share options, please share a URL where we can see the issue happening and we will take a look.

    Hi Alex,

It’s not the plugin at fault it’s my website. I was just explaining what was happening.

All pages are affected but for the purpose of this support ticket here’s the one that I used for my example in my previous support ticket.

    https://alittlebitabout.co.uk/whats-on-in/west-sussex/east-grinstead/murder-mystery/murder-mystery-on-the-bluebell-railway/

When I share a page to Facebook none of the information transfers across apart from the page heading (Image 3 from the previous ticket). When I share to Twitter the description copies across but not the image (Image 4 from the previous ticket).

    All the best

    Hello!

GD doesn’t work with every 3rd party plugin from WP.org.

You will need to contact the plugin’s creator or hire a developer.

    Hello!

Aren’t these not GD share icons? If so they’re not working.

    Cheers

    Hello!

I’ve just gone to your demo site and clicked on the Facebook icon and can see the image from the page and I’ve done the same on my website and can’t see the image. See screenshots.

Where can I find the settings for these icons so I can check them.

If you run any of the URL of our demo through the facebook debugger, you do not get the same error as yours, so probably the other plugin is messing with the OG metas.

Please try to deactivate all non GD plugins and try again. Possibly 1st run the url through the facebook debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/?q=https%3A%2F%2Falittlebitabout.co.uk%2Fwhats-on-in%2Fwest-sussex%2Feast-grinstead%2Fmurder-mystery%2Fmurder-mystery-on-the-bluebell-railway%2F

Let us know how it goes,

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

    Thanks for your reply.

I’ve done as you’ve suggested but still no joy.

No too sure what to do next.

    All the best.

    Hi Paolo,

All sorted. It was an incomplete SSL certificate that was causing the problems.

    Regards
