    Hi,

Love the plugin. Is there a way to sort listings by nearest location? For example, when loading a page with listings it would ask for permission to use your “current location” using GPS, and then list from nearest to furthest with distance away in miles for each listing? If not in the core plugin, is there an addon that will allow for this sorting option?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Hi Steve, the Advanced Search addon allows for geolocation and searching by distance from visitors’ current location: https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/advanced-search-filters/

Thanks Guust. I purchased the addon plugin and activated it, however when any of the new search features, I get the following…

Fatal error: Call to undefined function geodir_strtolower() in /nfs…..wp-content/plugins/geodir_advance_search_filters/geodirectory_advance_search_function.php on line 170

Also, does this plugin not allow me to “Sort By” my listings by “nearest location”? Right now I can only “Sort By” alphabetically by choosing “title”.

    Hi,

did you update GeoDirectory to version 1.5.4 released yesterday, before installing the add-on?

To sort by nearest to you, you must share your location 1st. For that to happen you must enable GeoLocation Settings in GeoDirectory >> Advance Search.

Let us know how you went,

    Thanks

p.s. if you purchased an add-on on theme tailors, please make sure to sync your account here so that you don’t show as a free user. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/getting-access-to-the-support-forums/

I did not update, I’m still on 1.5.3. Do you think updating to 1.5.4 will fix that problem? I did purchase on Theme Tailors, so I will do what you recommended. Thanks!

    Hi,

you must update the core if you are using the latest version of any of the add-ons.

    Thanks
