I am trying to find out if when a customer pays for a listing are they assigned an account number or a customer number? I’m hoping to find a way to add to my sort that when you have had a listing longer you show up higher in advanced search results (if everything is equal). If they are assigned an account number in numeric order this would help in many ways.
    Thx

Each listing gets a post ID.
Search results are always ordered depending on what a visitor has entered as a search query.
But you can order on the Listings [category] pages by oldest first:
GD > Place Settings > Sorting Order tab > Move “add date” to the list of sorting fields.
Then set “Show Ascending Sort (low to high)” as the default sort and activate the field.
    Thanks

If I add a listing to the site and then someone claims it later does, is the add date the date I added or the date they added? is there a claim date? and is there an option for a number of days active? I’m trying to give customers an incentive to claim their listing, have a paid listing and make sure to either auto subscribe or make sure their listing doesn’t drop off… I feel like being able to say when their is a “tie” in the sorting that the “tie-breaker” will be the person with the most seniority of a paid listing… so if there is another way to do this please advise.

And do only paid listings get the add dates or do all listings get add dates or do only claimed listings get add dates?
