Sorting by Featured or Rating does not sort them by Alpha

Hi there,

I noticed that when my listings are sorted by Featured, the Featured listings are not sorted alphabetically. Neither are the non-featured listings that display after them. They seem to be sorted by last updated or latest entry. Same happens when sorting by Rating (not sorted by title for listings at the same rating level).

Is there some way to correct the sorting to reflect sub-level sorting by Title under the Featured and Rating sort option?

Hi,

you can sort by :

title (A-Z or Z-A) or featured or ratings

and so on…

Not a mix of them, I’m sorry.

So how do you determine the order of the listings when sorting by Featured? They seem to be sorted by newest listing. If I set up a non-featured listing as Featured, that listing will display as the first listing using the featured sort option. The listings that are not featured are sorted by newest listing which may not be the most ideal way to sort them since there is no apparent rational to the order for the person that is browsing…

Hi,

wp queries return posts by ID by default.

As I said, what you are asking to do would require seperate queries and it’s not feasible.
