Sorting of events

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi,
    Can someone help please with the sorting of my events.
    I have it set to sort in this order
    1) date
    2) featured
    3) title

    I’ve searched for events on 6 July and a non-featured event comes up first.

    Sorting is only for category pages, not search pages.

    The events seem to be sorted by the start time.
    The first one has started already on 29 June, so that comes first.
    Second and third ones start at 00.00 of 6 July. They are then ordered possibly by AZ or featured, not sure.
    Fourth starts at 11.00 of 6 July, ie later.
    Last one starts at 12.00 of 6 July, so that is last.

    I’ll get confirmation of the developers as to why they sort as they are, when the only thing you searched for is a date.

    On search page if search keyword is set then it sorts first by best match and then upcoming event.
    If search keyword is not set then it sorts events by upcoming event first.
