    Hello Support

    We have 3 questions…

    1. We have the add-on GD Booster – yet the maps takes forever to load, would increasing the ram and cpu on our server help this? (if not, what can we do to speed things up?)

    2. Double Pins – We have a multitude of pins that are located at the exact same lat and long, before we purchased Geo Directory we were told the development for a feature to be able to view more than one pin in the exact same location is in the works or “pipeline”… how far along is said feature?

    3. Sometimes (we’ve only noticed this happening randomly) when we load a page for example “mysite.com/location/south-africa” and then load another page for example “mysite.com/location/algeria” (in a new tab) the new tab loads whatever country was previously loaded.

We’re pretty sure this is not supposed to happen.

    Access details to follow….

    1. yes i think u need to increase your php memory limit.

    2. A developer has made some progress on it but i need to check over it, i have not had time at the moment but its on my list, hopefully next week i’ll be able to get things tested.

    3. Do you have advanced search redirect user on first load active? Maybe this is what you are seeing?

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hi Thanks.

We’ve done some testing of our own to see if we can find a pattern and it seems when we have two open tabs loading different locations that the server takes too long and loads whatever map was called last (for anyone else running into this) we will be increasing the memory to try and resolve this.

Thanks for checking up on the development of the feature 🙂 where can we find out more?

    Hi Stiofan

We’re having multiple very weird issues…

    1. Some clients are loading a country (“mysite.com/location/algeria” for example) and the map loads a different country.

    2. we’ve imported pins to “mysite.com/location/egypt” yet have pins showing up all over the map.
    3. We’ve also imported pins to “mysite.com/location/congo-democratic-republic-of-the” yet no pins appear (we’re getting a “no records found” error)

Some issues might be hosting but others might be import issues.
Did you import via csv, did you use open office or libre office or excel for the csv file?

    Hi Stiofan

Thanks for the reply, we’ve figured out most of the issues (like you said hosting and import) and are busy fixing them 🙂

    Thanks for the help.
