    I have changed the above without success. The geodirectory-en_US.po has been edited for Listing Detail yet it still says the same thing.

    Followed the instructions to the T but still no changes.

    Please update to remove defaults or ability to edit Field Title.

    Your PO file did no longer have the string “listing title” in it, so not sure how you used PoEdit.
    I restored your PO and MO file and have translated the string now, review your add-listing form for the result.

    I was editing the actual title, not adding the translation !! Thanks a million.. OK to close… But, it would be a nice feature not to have default fields or to have the ability to rename them on the front end.

    You need to have default fields for posts (listings) to work. Every post needs a title and a description/content.
    If every string would be translatable in the admin area, most plugins would slow to a crawl.

    I’ll set this to resolved.
