    Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have a question that falls along these same lines: How can I change the word “Places” in my title (and on the page) on the Archives pages, like here – http://www.kjvchurches.com/churches/united-states/ohio/

    I want the Title to say “Churches in Ohio” instead of “Places Archive”

    I guess you are using Yoast’s SEO plugin.
    If you do, that setting is controlled by that plugin:
    WP admin > SEO > titles and meta

    Fantastic, that’s exactly what I needed. It took a tiny bit of tweaking, but I got it done.
