Split: White screen of death

    I’m also curious about this one, as I had a user doing beta testing and they also ran into a white screen during signup.

    I attributed the cause of our issue to a plugin conflict (WP All in One Security) and perhaps having the settings there too strong. I tried dialing them down, no luck. After disabling, there have been no reports of the white screen. However, now I need a workaround for the fake user account signups.

    I have not tried signing up with a improperly formatted email address yet.

    I split this because the other topic was only when people were using a comma instead of a dot in email addresses, so it seems you are having a different problem.

    The best solution for fake user accounts is adding a reCaptcha:
