    Hello,
We’re attempting to upgrade from v1 to v2 on our staging site. Depending on how well this goes, we’ll push to the live site or repeat our steps there. However, we can’t update our add-on plugins on the staging site.

Can you give us temporary activation codes for our plugins, or extend our activation codes for use on our staging site? Or otherwise help us complete the staging upgrade?

    Our live site montclaircenter.com
    Our staging site is bid.helloig.com

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Rich Harris,

Thanks for your post. Since you have the full membership, you can activate the licenses on Unlimited domains that you own. Are you getting any errors while updating? If possible, share your Website WP admin access here in private reply and I’ll check on it.

    Hello,

if you have cloned your site, then plugins won’t update because they neeed the licenses reactivated on the new staging domain.

Click the license, copy the license, click deactivate, wait for prompt, click license, paste, activate.

Once you plugins allow updates you will want to follow these steps to upgrade

    Hi,
I figured that out eventually, but thank you.
Our main problem is the errors found on our live site.
(Credentials in the private post above).

    Thanks again.

    Hi,
Your credentials are in the following private post.

The primary symptoms we’ve noticed so far are that the contact form won’t show and the members cannot add events/listings because of errors (attached screenshot).
Most likely, addressing the console errors will fix these. Remember, there are two scripts (jquery and jqueryUI) added to header.php which helped the site appearance, but added lots more console errors.

Let me know if I can do anything else.

    Hi Rich,

WordPress loads its on jQuery core & jQueryUI library. Using another jQuery core & jQueryUI library may conflicts. This conflicts can cause unexpected errors that breaks functionality on the pages.

    WordPress loads following JavaScript already.
    /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js
    /wp-includes/js/jquery/ui/core.min.js
    /wp-includes/js/jquery/ui/widget.min.js
    /wp-includes/js/jquery/ui/position.min.js
    /wp-includes/js/jquery/ui/menu.min.js

Try to remove extra jQuery that you added.

    Regards,
    Kiran

    Hello Kiran.
I am glad you responded to my request. However, I am sad that it seems like you did not read my statement. The scripts I added in are definitely not supposed to be there, but without them the site is even worse. With GD disabled, it also works fine, so there is something wrong there.

Our client is out of patience and I’m getting ready to move them to a new platform. I’d really appreciate it if you can help me to get this fixed before we have to disable GD.

For now, I have removed the two scripts that were helping us, so please take a look again and advise how we should proceed.

    Thanks again.

    Hi,
You can see the timepicker error, even on the home page.

When I disabled every plugin besides GD, the errors stayed the same. With GD disabled, the errors go away.

    Thank you,
    Rich

    That’s great progress!
    I’m still getting console errors:
    woocommerce.min.js?ver=3.9.1:1
Uncaught ReferenceError: Cookies is not defined
    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (woocommerce.min.js?ver=3.9.1:1)
    at i (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)
    at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)
    at Function.ready (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)
    at HTMLDocument.J (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)

    admin-bar.min.js?ver=5.3.2:1
Uncaught TypeError: f.hoverintent is not a function
    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (admin-bar.min.js?ver=5.3.2:1)

If I disable GeoDirectory these both go away.
    I appreciate your continued assistance.

The issues mentioned above were caused by your mailchimp JS file in the header.php file, i moved it to the footer.php file to fix.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
