    Guys,
we cannot explain this strange issue:
If a complete new user visits the login page, or an listing url, they get the first time automatically redirected to the homepage.

That is not nice, because we need those links to stay live: it’s the login for new users, and we want owners to have a look at their own listing.

The strange thing is that if someone enters the url the second time, everyting is fine. It might be a cooky thing, we think. But nonetheless: it’s frustrating for visitors, and not good for conversion.

Do you have any insights? We’ve disabled the cookie-messagebar, that’s obliged by law; but no difference.

Try for yourself with a clean browser:
    https://iamyogi.com/?geodir_signup=true

    or: https://iamyogi.com/leslocaties/nederland/groningen/kloosterburen/dru-lotus/

    Thanks again!

That’s because you have GeoLocation on and the location has been shared.

Go to GD >> Advance Search and disable Disable geolocate on first load or enable Ask user if they wish to be geolocated

    Thanks

Paolo, did somebody told you today already how brilliant you are? 😉

    Works great.

1: We assume though that if you select both options it would lead to No question the first visit, and a popupmessage the second time. That doesn’t happen. Is that correct?

(we’ve bypassed the problem by adding the My location widget quite prominent on the home above the map, but doesn’t look very nice)…
2: We were thinking: is it possible to add an alt-text to the compass, so that becomes more clear as an alternative solution for this?

    Thanks again!

    1) the second option override the 1st.

    2) What do you mean by ALT text? You could add anything you want with jQuery?

    Let us know,

I’ll set this as solved though…
