    Hello!

    1. Please tell me how I can make a list of categories and subcategories. When I choose to show the list of places I can see all the places at once. I would like to see places structured by categories, subcategories. The widget popular places not included in the sub-categories, and do not go in alphabetical order, and because of this confusion.

For example as implemented in the categories bar on the main gmap

Or how it is implemented here: http://www.yelp.com/search?cflt=restaurants&find_loc=New+York%2C+NY%2C+USA#find_desc&cflt

    Thanks

To add a list of categories, add the GD > Popular Post Category widget to your page.

    http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/places-categories-and-listings/

If you want more specific help, can you post the relevant URLs please.

GD > Popular Post Category does not have structure. Categories and sub-categories are scattered and unrelated. I would like to make a list of categories in alphabetical order, and when you click on the category – sub-opened and all included in their place.

    For example:
My initial categories menu = [Restaurants, Akkomodation] and a list of places shows all the places included in these categories.
If I click on a restaurant, I get in the menu with a choice of sabkategory – [French, Italiano]. List of places showing all the places included in these sub-categories.
Finally, if I click on the [French] I get the list of French restaurants.

    For example http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=&find_loc=New+York%2C+NY%2C+USA&ns=1

You can create a menu at Appearance > Menu ?

And if you have the map on the Home/location page, you will have a category list with subcategories as part of the map.

Category list with subcategories is good as part of the map, but I will have about 30 categories and about 1000 subcategories, and map search is not very convenient.

Please look at the areas highlighted in red in the attachment.

You can get support for that widget at
    http://wordpressdeveloperoz.themetailors.com/tt/portfolio/geodirectory-category-list/
It is not an official GD widget.
