    Hi guys,

    I have a few questions:

    1. I’ve been getting A LOT of suspicious new user registrations to my site the last 24 hours. They’re not people adding places/events to my site but they’re showing up under my list of users. Would you please let me know why this is happening and how I can stop it?

    2. How can I get GD Subscription widget to work? When I enter an email it says “The feed does not have subscriptions by email enabled”. Once it works, how would I post my first blog so that anyone who is subscribed receives it?

    3. How can I update GeoDirectory Events to 1.4.4? I have version 1.4.3 installed.

    1. Are you using the GD Recaptcha plugin to stop automated signups?

    2. I guess you mean the GD Subscribe widget?
    Have you set your feedburner ID up correctly at http://feedburner.google.com

    3. Have you entered your GD Events licence at GD > Auto-updates?

    1. Yes I was already using GD Recaptcha plugin (pic). Any reason why I’m still getting tons of new “users”?

    It is not good enough to activate GD Recaptcha, you should set it up correctly too.

    The link you provided says they no longer recommend using FeedBurner because it’s a dying product full of bugs. Will the GD Subscrive Widget work with Feedburner alternatives? If so, which would you recommend?

    1. You only need to add your API key and secret:

    2. GD Subscribe only works with Feedburner.
    Have a look at WP for other plugins maybe?
